It is believed that the tumors arise from cells halted in their differentiation and due to their immature phenotype; they express proteins normally only detected during embryogenesis.     Sammanfattning : Neuroblastoma (NB) is the most frequently diagnosed extracranial tumour in children, which arises from transient embryonal tissue of the neural crest that fails to complete terminal differentiation into neurons.
