  1. 11. Nano- and Micro-sized Molecularly Imprinted Polymer Particles on Solid Surfaces

    Författare :Tripta Kamra; Synkrotronljusfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are artificial receptors made by imprinting template molecules in a polymer matrix followed by their removal through washing to obtain a specific and selective template cavities. This property of the MIPs have made them a very efficient material for diverse applications such as chromatography, purification, drug sensing, etc. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Bioelectrochemical Applications of Reactions Catalyzed by Immobilized Enzymes

    Författare :Xiao-Jing Tang; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Acetate Kinase.; NAD NADH recycling; Enzyme Electrodes; Enzyme reactors; Enzyme Immobilization; Electrochemical detection; Flow Injection Analysis; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The sensitivity of biosensors can be increased substantially by incorporation in a substrate recycling scheme. Based on the amplification of NAD+/NADH by the recycling reaction catalyzed by glycerol dehydrogenase (GDH) and diaphorase, NAD+/NADH can be determined amperometrically with around 1000 times higher sensitivity than for the substrate sensing mode. 3. 13. Multiscale X-ray Characterisation of Cellulose-based Solid Dispersions

    Författare :Martina Olsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PXCT; WAXS; pharmaceutical formulations; multiscale characterisation; STXM; radiation damage; SAXS; X-ray imaging; solid dispersions; cellulose;

    Sammanfattning : Cellulose-based solid dispersions are a promising formulation strategy for providing controlled drug release and dissolution enhancement of poorly soluble drugs. These dispersions can from structures on multiple length scales which can have both positive and negative effects on the functional properties of the formulation. LÄS MER

  4. 14. GC-MS based metabolomics – Development of a next generation GC-MS method and its application to nutrition and biomarker research

    Författare :Otto Savolainen; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; gas chromatography; nutrition; biomarkers; metabolomics; mass spectrometry; type 2 diabetes;

    Sammanfattning : Metabolomics, the measurement of a broad range of small molecules in a sample, is maturing as a field in analytical chemistry and becoming a standard research tool in biological sciences for helping to generate a wider understanding of the complex biological mechanisms behind, for example, development of disease and effects of diet on health. Metabolomics analysis is generally divided into either targeted or untargeted metabolomics. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Sample Handling Techniques in Biological and Environmental Applications Emphasizing Biomolecular Recognition and MALDI-TOF MS

    Författare :Patrik Önnerfjord; Reumatologi och molekylär skelettbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; protein identification; microchip IMER; microdispensing; MALDI-TOF MS; fluorescence polarization; flow immunoassay; pesticide immunoassays; phenol biosensor; restricted access media; SPE; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The use of restricted access media and other stationary phases for clean-up and trace enrichment of environmental samples coupled on-line to liquid chromatography using diode array detection as well as thermospray MS is described. This on-line configuration was compared with commercially available ELISAs for the determination of triazines in complex matrices, showing superior precision and accuracy with the chromatographic method.
