  1. 21. Sensitivity-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy and High-Speed Fluorescence for In Situ Gas-Phase Diagnostics

    Författare :Haisol Kim; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Laser; Raman Spectroscopy; Laser-Induced Fluorescence; Combustion; Pyrolysis; Gasification; Gas turbine; Fysicumarkivet A:2022:Kim;

    Sammanfattning : In this work, combustion and thermal decomposition processes were studied employing laser-based diagnostic techniques, and the techniques were improved and demonstrated to achieve enhanced detection sensitivity. Raman spectroscopy was employed to study flames under elevated and atmospheric pressures with various fuels, such as methane, hydrogen-enriched methane, DME, ethylene, and ammonia. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Organohalogen environmental pollutants in Baltic fish : chemical characterization and toxicological evaluation with a focus on bone disturbances

    Författare :Natalia Stern; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The present study was initiated due to concern about toxicological consequences associated with the exposure to persistent organic pollutants (POPs) via the consumption of Baltic fish. In Sweden, fish from the Baltic Sea is a major dietary source of POPs but also an important source of essential nutrients. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Integrated Optical Solutions for Ubiquitous Sensing

    Författare :Stephen Macken; Daniel Filippini; Udo Weimer; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Ubiquitous chemical sensing aims at exploiting consumer electronic devices as temporary chemical sensing platforms. These devices are a highly disseminated infrastructure, not presently being exploited for chemical sensing purposes. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Characterization of Biomolecular Interactions Using a Multivariate Approach

    Författare :Karl Andersson; Mats Gustafsson; Jörgen Carlsson; Olav Kvalheim; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Biochemistry; Chemometrics; QSAR; Interaction; kinetics; Biokemi; Biochemistry; Biokemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a novel bioinformatic methodology denoted the bio-chemometric approach. The methodology is designed for generation of detailed descriptions and predictions of biomolecular interactions. It is based on multivariate analysis of the sensitivity of a biomolecular interaction to multiple minor changes in the experimental conditions. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Characterizing phenotypes of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and exploring anti-mycobacterial compounds through high content screening

    Författare :Sadaf Kalsum; Maria Lerm; Thomas Lundbäck; Annika Jenmalm; Lena Serrander; Priscille Bordin; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Tuberculosis (TB), an airborne disease and one of the top 10 causes of death globally, is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). Current standard therapy for TB treatment includes multiple drugs for a period of at least 6 months. LÄS MER
