  1. 1. Efficient and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence for Critical Robotic Systems

    Författare :Christopher Sprague; Petter Ögren; John Folkesson; Ivan Stenius; Todor Stoyanov; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; behaviour trees; hybrid dynamical systems; formal guarantees; optimal control; machine learning; autonomy; Datalogi; Computer Science;

    Sammanfattning : Critical robotic systems are systems whose functioning is critical to both ensuring the accomplishment of a given mission and preventing the endangerment of life and the surrounding environment. These critical aspects can be formally captured by convergence, in the sense that the system's state goes to a desired region of the statespace, and safety, in the sense that the system's state avoids unsafe regions of the statespace. 2. 2. Learning for safety in health care and air traffic control

    Författare :Sven Ternov; Ergonomi och aerosolteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Risk management; accident models; complex systems; health care; air traffic control; MTO analysis; DEB-analysis; proactive risk analysis.;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction Risk management in enterprises, organisations and companies has had a long and complicated history. During the eighties, and at least during the beginning of the nineties, the notion concerning risk management was that if an accident happened in an otherwise perfect system it was due to the human operator in some way being the cause of the error. 3. 3. Risk Management in Tunneling Projects : Estimation and Planning

    Författare :Mohammad Mohammadi; Johan Spross; Fredrik Johansson; Stefan Larsson; Anna Kadefors; Amund Bruland; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Cost overrun; Transport infrastructure projects; Time and cost estimation; Probabilistic approaches; Tunneling; Soil and Rock Mechanics; Jord- och bergmekanik;

    Sammanfattning : Cost overruns and schedule delays are frequently observed occurrences in the construction of transport infrastructure projects. Such phenomena lead to the mismanagement of significant amounts of both public and private resources. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Lärare för förändring : att synliggöra och utmana föreställningar om naturvetenskap och genus

    Författare :Kristina Andersson; Christina Gustafsson; Annica Gullberg; Malin Ideland; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Action research; feminist critique; gender; gender awareness; pre-school teachers; primary school teachers; science education; Aktionsforskning; feministisk kritik; förskollärare; genus; genusmedvetenhet; naturvetenskapernas didaktik; tidigarelärare; Subject didactics; Ämnesdidaktik;

    Sammanfattning : Lärares genusmedvetenhet i relation till naturvetenskaplig verksamhet är fokus för denna avhandling, som belyses genom två studier: en longitudinell aktionsforskningsstudie som genomfördes tillsammans med en grupp förskollärare/lärare och en studie där verksamma förskollärare/lärare under en fortbildningskurs fick tillämpa en genusteori på en verklig klassrumshändelse. Studierna visar att genusarbete är komplicerat eftersom det inbegriper många aspekter av livet och en viktig del av genusmedvetenheten är att förhålla sig till dessa olika aspekter. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Exploring Cross-Sectoral Collaboration for Sustainable Development: A Case of Tourism

    Författare :Zinaida Fadeeva; Internationella miljöinstitutet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; networking results; critical factors; idea implementation; idea selection; tourism; sustainable development; Cross-sectoral networks; collaboration; Economics of development; Utvecklingsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : The importance of cross-sectoral collaborative initiatives, that is partnerships of governments, civil society and the private sector, was elevated due to the belief that the issues of SD are a collective responsibility of all societal actors. The assessment of these initiatives is ranging dramatically; from giving them a status of an unbeatable solution for the SD challenges, to blaming them for being a mere lip service for the SD cause.
