  1. 21. Balancing Everyday Life. Exploring change following an activity-based lifestyle intervention for mental health service users

    Författare :Kristine Lund; aktivitet och delaktighet Psykisk hälsa; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Lifestyle; Lifestyle intervention; Mental Health; Mental illness; Occupational Therapy; Quality of life; Change Process; meaning; Grounded theory; Recovery;

    Sammanfattning : There is limited research that evaluates occupational therapy and lifestyle interventions,especially for mental health service users. This thesis provides increased knowledge and understanding of the processes and factors that led to betterquality of everyday life, engagement in meaningful activities, and balance forparticipants who took part in the Balancing Everyday Life (BEL) intervention. 2. 22. From Penicillin Binding Proteins to Community Interventions : Mathematical and Statistical Models Related to Antibiotic Resistance

    Författare :Patricia Geli Rolfhamre; Åke Svensson; Mikael Andersson; Dan I. Andersson; Karl Ekdahl; Bruce R. Levin; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; antibiotic resistance; mathematical modeling; pharmacokinetics; pharmacodynamics; penicillin binding protein; postantibiotic effect; reversibility; selection; community intervention; Mathematical statistics; Matematisk statistik; matematisk statistik; Mathematical Statistics;

    Sammanfattning : Antibiotic resistance has become a major public health concern and mathematical models are important analytical tools for the understanding, evaluation and prediction of the resistance problem and related control strategies.The risk of emerging antibiotic resistance and selection has rarely been a concern in the design of antibiotic drug dosing regimens. 3. 23. Filtering and modelling for automotive safety systems

    Författare :Fredrik Sandblom; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; decision-making; automotive safety; sensor data fusion; motion models; radar sensor models; filtering theory; moment estimation;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis makes five important contributions to the development of an automotive safety system: filtering algorithms, three modelling frameworks concerning the usage of radar detections in tracking, vehicle motion, and decision-making for intervention decisions, and finally the implementation architecture.In the filtering context, we have developed a new sigma-point method for estimating the moments of a transformed Gaussian random variable. 4. 24. Aspects of Health Promotion Practice in Swedish primary healthcare : Perspectives from staff and patients related to working conditions of district nurses and lifestyle habit management in patients with risk factors for cardiovascular disease

    Författare :Kristina Lundberg; Lisbeth Porskrog Kristiansen; Mats Jong; Miek C. Jong; Mirjam Ekstedt; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cardiovascular disease; District nurse; Health Promotion; Intervention; Primary healthcare; The Theory of Human Caring; Distriktssköterska; Hjärt-kärlsjukdom; Hälsofrämjande; Intervention; Primärvård; The Theory of Human Caring; Health-Promoting Work; Hälsofrämjande arbete;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of present thesis was to generate knowledge about aspects of Health Promotion Practice (HPP) related to district nurses’ working conditions and their professional patient-related work. Further, the aim was to study lifestyle habit management and experiences of caring encounters in patients with risk factors of developing CVD. LÄS MER

  5. 25. You don’t have to love it - Exploring the mechanisms of exercise motivation using self-determination theory in a digital context

    Författare :Anna Karin Weman-Josefsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; exercise; motivation; self-determination theory; digital intervention; LGCM; mediation; RCT;

    Sammanfattning : Most Western countries have developed guidelines and programs to inform and promote regular physical activity and exercise behaviours in order to gain desired health benefits for the population. Unfortunately, health statistics show that many people do not reach these recommended activity levels. LÄS MER
