  1. 1. Filtering and modelling for automotive safety systems

    Författare :Fredrik Sandblom; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; decision-making; automotive safety; sensor data fusion; motion models; radar sensor models; filtering theory; moment estimation;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis makes five important contributions to the development of an automotive safety system: filtering algorithms, three modelling frameworks concerning the usage of radar detections in tracking, vehicle motion, and decision-making for intervention decisions, and finally the implementation architecture.In the filtering context, we have developed a new sigma-point method for estimating the moments of a transformed Gaussian random variable. 2. 2. Multiple Model Filtering and Data Association with Application to Ground Target Tracking

    Författare :Daniel Svensson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Multiple model filtering; semi-Markov processes; multi-target tracking; FISST; state estimation; IMM; performance evaluation; OSPA; PHD; ground target tracking; Kalman filtering; target tracking; CPHD; MHT; random finite sets;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with two central parts of a tracking system, namely multiple-model filtering and data association. Multiple models are introduced to provide accurate filtering, whereas data association deals with the unknown origin of the received measurements. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Adaptive Multidimensional Filtering

    Författare :Leif Haglund; Gösta Granlund; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis contains a presentation and an analysis of adaptive filtering strategies for multidimensional data. The size, shape and orientation of the flter are signal controlled and thus adapted locally to each neighbourhood according to a predefined model. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Managing a cross-institutional setting : a case study of a Western firm's subsidiary in the Ukraine

    Författare :Peter Hultén; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Boundary Spanning; Consonance; Cross-Institutional; Dissonance; Filtering; Filtering Conditions; Identity Identification; Institutional Influence; Networks; Norms; Post-Soviet Market; Power; Screening; Socialisation; Vacuum; Företagsetablering; Ukraina; Nätverksplanering; Multinationella företag; Dotterbolag; Postkommunism;

    Sammanfattning : This study explores the development of a Western firm's subsidiary in the Ukraine and sets out to contribute to the theoretical development about the managing of subsidiaries in the Post-Soviet market. The cross-institutional approach to analyse the subsidiary has been adopted to explore influence from the institutional setting of the parent firm and from local institutions. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Data Filtering and Control Design for Mobile Robots

    Författare :Maja Karasalo; Xiaoming Hu; John Baras; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; formation control; tracking; nonlinear control; optimal smoothing; adaptive filtering; Optimization; systems theory; Optimeringslära; systemteori;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, we consider problems connected to navigation and tracking for autonomousrobots under the assumption of constraints on sensors and kinematics. We study formation controlas well as techniques for filtering and smoothing of noise contaminated input. The scientific contributions of the thesis comprise five papers. LÄS MER
