16. Models and Tools for Distributed User Interface Development
Sammanfattning : The way we interact with computers and computer systems are constantly changing as technology evolves. A current trend is that users interact with multiple andinterconnected devices on a daily basis. They are beginning to request ways and means of dividing and spreading their applications acrossthese devices. LÄS MER
17. Characterisation of Aqueous Solutions, Liquid Crystals and Solid State of Non-ionic Polymers in Association with Amphiphiles and Drugs
Sammanfattning : Cellulose ethers and polyethylene glycols are used in drug formulations as water swelling or water soluble matrices. Polar lipids, for example monoglycerides, and surfactants can be used to solubilise hydrophobic or amphiphilic drugs and to formulate potential drug delivery vehicles such as emulsions, liposomes and cubic phases. 18. The interaction between carbon and nitrogen during litter decomposition
Sammanfattning : Litter decomposition is essential for the cycling of elements in ecosystems. How carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) interact during litter decomposition is, however, not yet fully understood. This thesis studies litter decomposition with the aim of increasing our understanding of the interactions between C and N. LÄS MER
19. Business Intelligence through a sociomaterial lens : The imbrication of people and technology in a sales process
Sammanfattning : Digitalization and digital devices are on the rise, and as a result, many new products and services have been developed, which has led to greater interaction between people and technology. This thesis explores the interaction between people and technology by looking at the daily use of a business intelligence (BI) system in an automotive company’s sales process, where sellers use the system to analyze, report, and measure sales performance. 20. Gene regulation by chromatin remodelling complexes : SWI/SNF complex in mRNA processing and B-WICH complex in ribosomal gene expression
Sammanfattning : The aim of this project is to investigate the roles of chromatin remodelling complexes in gene regulation. It is focused on two groups of chromatin complexes: the mammalian BRG1 and BRM SWI/SNF complexes and the ISWI-containing B-WICH complex.Study 1 investigates the role of SWI/SNF complexes in alternative splicing.
