    Sammanfattning : This investigation was originally based on the family archives of the bergsmän (iron producing peasants) in the parishes of Torskåer and Ovansjö in south-west Gästrikland. They gave an insight into a rather unknown proto-industry, run since medieval times by peasant households and flourishing in the 18th and 19th centuries. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The present licentiate thesis analyses developments in Swedish marine insurance during the interwar period, including both direct marine insurance and marine reinsurance. This is done in order to provide insights on how companies of a highly internationalised and vulnerable line of insurance were affected by and responded to new risks during a period of far-reaching international financial and economic crises.     Sammanfattning : Inspired by the debate on the effects of large scale urban planning on the localization of small- and medium-sized businesses, this thesis focuses on the impact of modernist urban planning on the localization of restaurant outlets in Stockholm during the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. The thesis is related to several literatures, including economic geography, urban history and to some extent the twentieth century history of the restaurant business in Sweden as well as urban food consumption.
