Chronic pain is one of the major causes of impaired health-related quality of life according to the World Health Organization’s “Global Burden of Disease”-studies. The Swedish Oral Medicine Network (SOMNet) holds monthly telephone conferences where a group of clinicians discuss interesting and difficult cases, which distinguishes it from one-to-one teleconsultations.
