    Författare :Ibrahimu Nzima; Martin Stigmar; Ulf Fredriksson; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Competence-based curriculum; instructional practices; Tanzania; tutors understanding; kompetensbaserad läroplan; lärarutbildares uppfattningar; Tanzania; undervisningspraktik; Pedagogics and Educational Sciences; Pedagogik och Utbildningsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of the study is to investigate tutors’ understanding of a competence-based curriculum (CBC) and how they train the student-teachers to implement CBC in actual classroom situations in ordinary level (O-level) secondary schools in Tanzania.The study employed a qualitative research approach informed by the interpretive paradigm.     Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; flutter; forced response; high cycle fatigue; reduced order models; ROM; craig-bampton; mistuning; tuned; mistuned; cyclic; noncyclic; craig-chang; free-interface. fixed-interface; subset nominal mode; SNM; CBMS; CCMS; CCC; CBC; FEM; CMS; modal; eigen; modeshapes; aeroelasticity; aeromechanical; tool; turbomachinery; turbine; compressor; AROMA; Energy Technology; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Modern gas turbines are still vulnerable to vibrations when operated at certain speeds. This unstable environment can lead to high cycle fatigue (HCF) and damage several of the components inside the turbine. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Peripheral blood biomarkers of cell-specific autoimmunity. Studies in children at increased risk for type 1 diabetes

    Författare :Falastin Salami; Malmö Institutionen för kliniska vetenskaper; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Type 1 diabetes; biomarkers; children; CBC; autoimmunity; neutrophils; red blood cells; hemoglobin; HbA1c T-cells; prospective follow-up; GAD-alum;

    Sammanfattning : Objective While the incidence of children suffering from autoimmune type 1 diabetes (T1D) is increasing in Sweden and worldwide, the underlying etiology and cellular mechanisms behind this remain unknown. The predisposition of the high-risk HLA DR-DQ genotype and as yet unknown environmental triggers lead to autoimmunity and the onset of T1D, which is preceded by islet beta-cell autoantibodies acting as markers for ongoing autoimmunity. 4. 4. Predicting Prognosis and Tamoxifen Response in Breast Cancer. With a special focus on contralateral breast cancer

    Författare :Sara Alkner; Bröstcancer-genetik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Breast cancer; prognosis; treatment prediction; endocrine treatment; tamoxifen; coactivator; AIB1; PAX2; SRC; contralateral breast cancer; premenopausal; randomized trial; mode of detection; mammography.;

    Sammanfattning : One of the great challenges in breast cancer treatment today is to customize adjuvant treatment to each patient’s individual needs. To do this it is necessary to learn more about the prognostic and treatment predictive factors that determine the risk of relapse and response to a certain mode of treatment. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Bridging the gap between caring theory and nursing practice : Learning experiences of undergraduate nursing students in a caring behavior course

    Författare :Sophie Mårtensson; Maria Björk; Susanne Knutsson; Anders Broström; Eric A. Hodges; Mariann Fossum; Jönköping University; []

    Sammanfattning : Background: Healthcare providers are obligated to practice with scientific knowledge in order to deliver high quality and safe care based on patients’ needs. Despite this obligation, complaints from care recipients and their significant others regarding healthcare providers’ lack of compassion and competent care in their professional encounters have increased.
