    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Metabolomics; Metabonomics; Metabolic Fingerprinting; Drug Metabolism; Biomarkers; Human Plasma; Rat Urine; LC MS; ZIC-HILIC; UPLC; UHPLC; ToF; Curve Resolution; Peak Detection; Pattern Recognition; Classification; PCA; PLS; PARAFAC; N-PLS; Data Fusion; Hierarchical Modeling; Batch modeling; Data Concatenation; Breast Cancer; Phospholipidosis; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : To facilitate early diagnosis of diseases and elucidation of the processes involved in their development and progression, various specific compounds or ‘biomarkers’ are often monitored. The first step is to decide which compounds to analyze. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Analytical methods for studying polychlorinated naphtalene congener profiles and levels in the Environment

    Författare :Ulf Järnberg; Terry Bidleman; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the development, refinement and application of analytical techniques in conjunction with other methods for studying the environmental occurrence, distribution and transformation of polychlorinated naphthalenes (PCNs). The procedures involve selective high-performance liquid chromatographic fractionation on a styrene-divinylbenzene gel permeation column and 2-(1-pyrenyl)ethyldimethylsilylated silica column combined with high resolution gas chromatography and low resolution mass spectrometry. Sammanfattning : The cell envelope plays key roles in numerous processes such as maintaining cellular integrity, communication with other cells, signal transduction, maintenance of cellular homeostasis, and regulation of the traffic of molecules between the cell and the extracellular milieu. Essential membrane components in many of these processes are proteins. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Aspects of aquatic sampling and exploratory data analysis of hydrophobic organic compounds

    Författare :Harald Pettersen; Mats Tysklind; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is based on seven papers describing studies conducted with samples from the Baltic Sea. It discusses some aspects on the use of multivariate methods for evaluation of data on hydrophobic organic compounds (HOCs) found in the aquatic environment. LÄS MER
