  1. 1. Multivariate processing and modelling of hyphenated metabolite data

    Författare :Pär Jonsson; Michael Sjöström; Royston Goodacre; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemometrics; Curve Resolution; GC MS; LC MS; Metabolomics; Metabonomics; Multivariate Analysis and Multivariate Curve Resolution.; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : One trend in the ‘omics’ sciences is the generation of increasing amounts of data, describing complex biological samples. To cope with this and facilitate progress towards reliable diagnostic tools, it is crucial to develop methods for extracting representative and predictive information. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Chemometric methods for analysis of spectroscopic data from batch process monitoring

    Författare :Erik Furusjö; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :in situ spectroscopy; reaction monitoring; organic synthesis; solubility; crystallization; multivariate calibration; curve resolution; kinetic model; reaction rate constant; activation energy; target testing; bootstrap;

    Sammanfattning : Understanding of a process is essential for processdevelopment, optimisation and scale-up. In situ spectroscopy isan attractive measurement technique that can increase processunderstanding, since samples need not be retrieved from theprocess mixture. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : To facilitate early diagnosis of diseases and elucidation of the processes involved in their development and progression, various specific compounds or ‘biomarkers’ are often monitored. The first step is to decide which compounds to analyze. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Fundamental research on supercritical fluid extraction kinetics : From on-line measurements to inverse modeling

    Författare :Victor Abrahamsson; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; supercritical fluid extraction; supercritical fluid chromatography; linseed; microalgae; extraction kinetics; inverse modeling; curve resolution;

    Sammanfattning : Supercritical fluid extraction is an extraction technique suitable for lipophilic compounds from solid samples. Most commonly supercritical carbon dioxide is the main component in the extraction phase, rendering the technique relatively environmentally benign. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Multivariate spectroscopic methods for the analysis of solutions

    Författare :Kent Wiberg; Sven Jacobsson; Lars Nørgaard; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemometrics; UV-Vis spectroscopy; Multivariate calibration; Lidocaine; Identity; Content; PLS; SIMCA; Non-column; Diode array UV spectroscopy; DAD; Control sample; High Capacity Analysis HCA ; Fluorescence spectroscopy; Albumin; Immunoglobulin G; HPLC-DAD; Prilocaine; Peak purity determination; PCA; PARAFAC; Partial separation; Curve resolution; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis some multivariate spectroscopic methods for the analysis of solutions are proposed. Spectroscopy and multivariate data analysis form a powerful combination for obtaining both quantitative and qualitative information and it is shown how spectroscopic techniques in combination with chemometric data evaluation can be used to obtain rapid, simple and efficient analytical methods.
