  1. 16. The fate and ash transformations of phosphorus in combustion of biomass and sewage sludge

    Författare :Joel Falk; Marcus Öhman; Nils Skoglund; Dan Boström; Franz Winter; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy Engineering; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The combustion of phosphorus (P)-rich biomass has a significant potential to increase the stock of biomass resources available for renewable heat and power production. In addition, the P-rich ashes have the potential as a fertilizer and could reduce the need for non-renewable P resources in agriculture. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Inter-firm relationships for sustainability : Incumbent firms and sustainability ventures

    Författare :Andra Riandita; Anders Broström; Raffaella Cagliano; Andreas Feldmann; Jonatan Pinkse; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; inter-firm partnership; sustainable entrepreneurship; incumbent firm; new venture; sustainability; partnership interaziendali; imprenditorialità sostenibile; imprese incumbent; nuova venture; sostenibilità; allianser; hållbarhetsorienterat företagande; entreprenörskap; hållbarhet; Industriell ekonomi och organisation; Industrial Economics and Management;

    Sammanfattning : The magnitude of global environmental and social challenges puts business firms under constant scrutiny. To address such challenges, incumbent firms initiate and manage partnerships with external organizations. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Some aspects of non-metallic inclusions during vacuum degassing in ladle treatment : with emphasize on liquid CaO-Al2O3 inclusions

    Författare :Young Jo Kang; Du Sichen; Takahiro Miki; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; non-metallic inclusions; ladle refining; vacuum degassing; ladle glaze; spinel; SiO2 activity; agglomeration; cold model; open-eye; inclusion removal; Metallurgical process engineering; Metallurgisk processteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The present thesis was to study non-metallic inclusions during vacuum degassing in ladle treatment. Emphasize was mostly given to liquid CaO-Al2O3 inclusions. A series of industrial experiments were carried out at Uddeholm Tooling AB, Hagfors, Sweden. To gain an insight into the industrial findings, laboratory investigations were also performed. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Ash Behavior in Fluidized-Bed Combustion and Gasification of Biomass and Waste Fuels : Experimental and Modeling Approach

    Författare :Farzad Moradian; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fluidized-bed; combustion; gasification; waste-derived fuels; biomass; ash-related problems; deposit; fouling; slagging; bed agglomeration; thermodynamic equilibrium modeling;

    Sammanfattning : Over the past few decades, a growing interest in the thermal conversion of alternative fuels such as biomass and waste-derived fuels has been observed among the energy-producing companies. Apart from meeting the increasing demand for sustainable heat and power production, other advantages such as reducing global warming and ameliorating landfilling issues have been identified. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Staging the world. Rome and the other in the triumphal procession

    Författare :Ida Östenberg; Antikens kultur och samhällsliv; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; world mastery; kings; barbarians; conquest; aerarium; wealth; triumphator; representations; captives; spoils; enargeia; spectators; display; role-playing; processional sequence; self-definition; the other; ritual; performance; Rome; triumphal procession; oikumene.; Ancient history; Antikens och forntidens historia;

    Sammanfattning : The triumphal procession staged Roman conquest and supremacy, featuring the defeated ‘other’ as opposed to the victorious ‘self’ in a rather fixed role-playing. This thesis takes as its theoretical premise that these ritually recurrent and visually emphatic processions both conveyed and constructed Roman views of the self and the other, and that they can be studied as formative expressions of such conceptions.
