  1. 16. Distributed Participatory Design in Multidisciplinary Engineering Projects: Investigating a Sustainable Approach for Ship Design & Construction

    Författare :Steven Mallam; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; User-Centred Design; Naval Architecture; Ergonomics; Built Environment; Maritime; Industrial Design; Knowledge Transfer; Technology Acceptance;

    Sammanfattning : Naval architecture design procedures focus primarily on the technical aspects of engineering specifications, mission requirements and overall survivability of ships and marine structures. In contrast, often little attention or importance is placed on the operational demands of onboard crew and the detailed design characteristics of a ship’s work environment. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Komposition. Trädgården – som förgrenar sig

    Författare :Anders Hultqvist; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Music composition; spectral; fractal; epistemology; cognition; 1 f-structures; entropy; formal time; musical dimensions; poetic structure; cognitive poetics;

    Sammanfattning : With the compositional practise as the point of departure the text discusses different topics around musical composition and its artistic, philosophical and scientific context. 3. 18. In-situ assessment of density and material properties in timber structures by non-destructive and semi-destructive testing

    Författare :Thomas Kruglowa; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; X-ray; Vasa warship.; semi-destructive testing SDT ; density determination; non-destructive testing NDT ; calibration procedure; Keywords: In-situ assessment;

    Sammanfattning : ABSTRACTIn the assessment of timber structures, diagnostic investigations of the structural members and connections are generally necessary. The assessment often requires appropriate non-destructive testing (NDT) and semi-destructive testing (SDT) techniques. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Supply and demand of water transport : studies in cost and revenue structures of ships, ports and transport buyers with respect to their effects on supply and demand of water transport of goods

    Författare :Thomas Thorburn; Handelshögskolan i Stockholm; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : In this work the term "water transport of goods" is defined as both the transport of goods by ship and the handling in port, and is assumed to begin the moment the goods to be transported arrive at the port of dispatch by road, rail, smaller vessels or other means of conveyance, and to continue until the goods, loaded on trucks, railway waggons, local boats or by other means of transports leave the port of destination. The object of this study is to analyze some factors (variables) that affect the price making the aim being to clarify the more important relationships in supply and demand of water transport of goods. 5. 20. Skeppssamhället : Rang, roller och status på örlogsskepp under 1600-talet

    Författare :Patrik Höglund; Kekke Stadin; Johan Rönnby; Magnus Linnarsson; Södertörns högskola; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Seventeenth century; Social history; Status; Maritime history; Naval history; Early Modern History; Shipwrecks; Historical Archaeology; Nautical Archaeology; Maritime archaeology; Sweden; Warships; Historical Studies; Historiska studier;

    Sammanfattning : In this dissertation, all the categories of people that were on board fully manned warships are studied. The purpose of the study has been to describe life on board the large warships and to show how hierarchical power structures and social status were expressed and manifested in 17th century society.
