  1. 6. Studies on plant-microbe interaction to improve stress tolerance in plants for sustainable agriculture

    Författare :Shashidar Asari; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Biotic and abiotic stress factors have a major impact on plants and cause extensive losses to crop production. Bacteria that provide growth promotion and prime stress tolerance of plants have great potential to improve crop production and support durable and environmental friendly resource management. 2. 7. Organizational death and employee motivation : Investigating a plant closure in a multi-plant organization

    Författare :Lars Häsänen; Johnny Hellgren; Gunn Johansson; Lena Mårtensson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Plant closure; closedown; goal theory; goal setting; motivation; organizational death; productivity; efficiency; performance and psychological climate; Psychology; Psykologi; Psychology; psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Major organizational changes are often connected with a variety of negative outcomes for both employees and the organization alike. As a contrast to this, organizational deaths have instead been associated with increased productivity and motivation to perform, despite certainty of job loss. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Plant-associated soil communities : Patterns, drivers and aboveground consequences

    Författare :Pil Uthaug Rasmussen; Ayco J. M. Tack; Martijn Bezemer; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; aboveground-belowground interactions; arbuscular mycorrhiza; climate; dispersal; environmental drivers; fungi; genetic variation; nematodes; plant-herbivore interactions; soil communities; spatial patterns; ekologi och evolution; Ecology and Evolution;

    Sammanfattning : Soil contains a wealth of diversity – bacteria, fungi, nematodes, arthropods and earthworms are just some of the many organisms found belowground. These organisms play an important role in shaping the soil environment and they strongly influence plant fitness, diversity and community composition. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Cyanobacterial genome evolution subsequent to domestication by a plant (Azolla)

    Författare :John Larsson; Birgitta Bergman; William Martin; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Plant physiology; Växtfysiologi; Plant Physiology; växtfysiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Cyanobacteria are an ancient and globally distributed group of photosynthetic prokaryotes including species capable of fixing atmospheric dinitrogen (N2) into biologically available ammonia via the enzyme complex nitrogenase. The ability to form symbiotic interactions with eukaryotic hosts is a notable feature of cyanobacteria and one which, via an ancient endosymbiotic event, led to the evolution of chloroplasts and eventually to the plant dominated biosphere of the globe. 5. 10. Plant phenology in seasonal environments

    Författare :Elsa Fogelström; Johan Ehrlén; Johan P. Dahlgren; Arthur Weis; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Autumn phenology; Cardamine pratensis; evolutionary ecology; heritability; herbivore preference; fitness components; flowering time; growing season length; life-history; Lathyrus vernus; natural selection; population differentiation; phenology; spring phenology; Plant Ecology; växtekologi;

    Sammanfattning : Phenology, or the seasonal timing life-history events such as emergence, reproduction and senescence will determine the outcome of interactions between plants and both abiotic and biotic aspects of the environment. Such timing is therefore of utmost importance for plants in seasonal environments. LÄS MER
