    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this dissertation has been set against the background of both existing research and teachers’ perceptions and experiences with the aim to clarify and better understand what constitutes the teacher’s encounter with social media in teaching. The theoretical starting point in hermeneutical phenomenology in accordance with Heidegger, Gadamer and Ricœur has brought with it not merely the resolve to describe the encounter’s context of meaning, but also the forward-looking striving to point out its possibilities.     Sammanfattning : The compelling images and promises attached to autonomous drive vehicles can easily create an impression that one can speak of a radical distinction between a self-driving future and a manual-driving present. Yet today’s drivers can already refer to their everyday driving as being experienced as though on ‘auto-pilot’, in which they are able to drive their cars while lost in things such as daydreams, conversations, or plans for their day ahead.     Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis is to contribute to deepening and extending our understanding and knowledge of emotions in service encounters by studying it from the two most central human actors in service encounter: (i) the service firm’s employees and (ii) the customer of this firm. This dissertation consist of five separate papers that conceptualize and empirically investigate how different appraisals by employees and customers generate positive and negative emotions, and how types of emotions in service encounters are linked to patterns of behavioural responses. This artistic study has resulted in a system model through which degrees of immersion may be generated and analyzed from physical, social, and psychical stimuli.
