    Författare :Lennart Flygare; Göran Isacsson; Lunds universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Synovial Fluid; Temporomandibular Joint Diseases; Proteoglycans; Osteoarthritis; Observer variation; Microscopy; Bone density; Diagnostic properties; Image processing; Tomography; X-ray; Odontology; stomatology; Odontologi; Temporomandibular Joint Diseases; Synovial Fluid; Proteoglycans; Osteoarthritis; Observer variation; Microscopy; Bone density; Diagnostic properties; Image processing; Tomography; X-ray; Odontology; stomatology; Odontologi;

    Sammanfattning : In five autopsy specimen studies human temporomandibular joints were investigated by conventional tomography, macroscopy, and microscopy for degenerative changes, in particular erosive hard-tissue changes.In the microscopical evaluation special attention was paid to the calcified cartilage. 3. 3. Precise Gravimetric Geoid Model for Iran Based on GRACE and SRTM Data and the Least-Squares Modification of Stokes’ Formula : with Some Geodynamic Interpretations

    Författare :Ramin Kiamehr; Lars Sjöberg; Martin Vermeer; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Gravity database; least-squares modification of Stokes; geoid determination; SRTM; GRACE; GPS levelling; density variation model; height datum; geodynamics; Iran; Earth sciences; Geovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Iran is one of the most complicated areas in the world from the view of rough topography, tectonic activity, large lateral density and geoidal height variations. The computation of a regional gravimetric geoid model with high accuracy in mountainous regions, especially with sparse data, is a difficult task that needs a special attention to obtain reliable results which can meet the needs of the today geodetic community. 4. 4. Cerebrovascular accidents associated with aortic manipulation during cardiac surgery

    Författare :Patrik Boivie; Gunnar Engström; Magnus Hansson; Henrik Ahn; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Surgery; aortic atherosclerosis; aortic cannulation; aortic cross-clamp; cardiac surgery; cerebral protection; cerebrovascular accidents; epiaortic ultrasound; intra-aortic filter; Kirurgi; Surgery; Kirurgi; Thoracic and Cardivascular Suregery; kirurgi; särskilt thoraxkirurgi;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Despite the successful development in cardiac surgery, cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) remain a devastating complication. Aortic atherosclerosis has been identified as a major risk factor for CVA. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Recovering Moho parameters using gravimetric and seismic data

    Författare :Majid Abrehdary; Lars E. Sjöberg; Mohammad Bagherbandi; Pavel Novák; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :crust; gravity; mantle; Moho depth; non-isostatic effect; residual isostatic topography; stripping; thermal state; Vening Meinesz-Moritz model; Geodesy and Geoinformatics; Geodesi och geoinformatik;

    Sammanfattning : Isostasy is a key concept in geoscience to interpret the state of mass balance between the Earth’s crust and mantle. There are four well-known isostatic models: the classical models of Airy/Heiskanen (A/H), Pratt/Hayford (P/H), and Vening Meinesz (VM) and the modern model of Vening Meinesz-Moritz (VMM). LÄS MER
