  1. 1. Lactoferrin Interactions with Periodontitis-associated Bacteria - Aspects of Adhesion-counteracting Mechanisms

    Författare :Kishore R. Alugupalli; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Inhibition; Adhesion; Binding; lactoferrin; Prevotella nigrescens; Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans; Prevotella intermedia; Periodontal disease; Protease; Laminin; Odontology; stomatology; Odontologi;

    Sammanfattning : Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans, Prevotella intermedia and Prevotella nigrescens are associated with periodontal diseases. Författare :EwaCarin Ekberg; Institutionen för hälsovetenskaper; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Temporomandibular Joint Disorders; Randomized Controlled Trials; Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Agents; Occlusal Splints; Treatment Outcome; Mandibular Condyle Radiography; Subtraction Technique; Radiographic Image Enhancement; Causality; Odontology; stomatology; Odontologi;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to prospectively evaluate the short-term effect of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (diclofenac sodium, Voltaren) and stabilisation appliance in controlled trials of patients with temporomandibular disorders (TMD) of arthrogeneous origin. The active treatments were compared to placebo in the study of diclofenac and to a control appliance in the other study. LÄS MER
