    Sammanfattning : The objective of this thesis is to analyse how judicial texts concerning guilty and innocent mothers were constructed during the period of c. 1680-1800. The two crimes of infanticide and overlaying have been examined. Source materials have primarily consisted of proceedings from the appeals court, courts of first instance, and parish meetings.     Sammanfattning : I samband med industrialismens framväxt inrättades institutioner i större skala. Den ökade mängden omhändertagna på institution vid 1800‐talets slut kan förklaras med fler medicinskt diagnostiserade, en ökad utstötning, lägre tolerans för avvikande beteende, läkarintresse för ett nytt revir, låg utskrivningsfrekvens och hospitaliseringseffekter.     Sammanfattning : This thesis explores a novel transistor technology based on vertical InAs nanowires, which could be considered both for low-power high-frequency analog applications and for replacing Si CMOS in the continued scaling of digital electronics. The potential of this device - the vertical InAs nanowire MOSFET – lies in the combination of the outstanding transport properties of InAs and the improved electrostatic control of the gate-all-around geometry.
