  1. 31. A multi-method assessment to support energy efficiency decisions in existing residential and academic buildings

    Författare :Shoaib Azizi; Thomas Olofsson; Gireesh Nair; Olga Kordas; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; residential dwellings; institutional buildings; sustainability; energy renovation; adoption of technology; decision-making; smart solutions; ICT; IoT; sustainability; hållbarhet;

    Sammanfattning : Rapid decarbonization of building stock is essential for the energy transition required to mitigate climate change and limit the global temperature rise below 1.5 °C. The decision-making for the adoption of energy efficiency measures (EEMs) is often complex and involves lasting consequences and risks. LÄS MER

  2. 32. Towards an understanding of the consequences of technology-driven decision support for maritime navigation

    Sammanfattning : In processes of urban infrastructural reconfiguration, there is a counterproductive tension between tendencies of de-monopolisation and market liberalisation, on the one hand, and ambitions for sustainable urban development, drawing on Keynesian reformism and ecological modernisation, on the other. In this thesis, the aim is to overcome this tension and to facilitate a concrete operationalisation of the notion &'sustainable urban development' within concrete and localised processes of planning, design, decision-making and implementation.
