  1. 1. Cam Roller Contact : Surfaces and Tribology

    Författare :Frédéric Cabanettes; Bengt-Göran Rosén; Ulf Olofsson; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; wear reduction; camshaft; roller; surface topography; relocation; elasto plastic rough contact; elasto hydrodynamic lubrication; Mechanical engineering; Maskinteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The automotive industry and the design of engines are strongly ruled by performance and legislation demands. In the valve train, mechanical components such as camshafts and rollers are defined by specifications including more and more constraints concerning their ability to face wear thus prolonging lifetime. 2. 2. On efficient and adaptive modelling of friction damping in bladed disks

    Författare :Mohammad Afzal; Leif Kari; Ines Lopez Arteaga; Muzio M Gola; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; High cycle fatigue; Friction contact; Jacobian matrix; Shroud contact; Strip damper; Multiharmonic balance method; Contact stiffness; Cyclic symmetry; Nodal diameter; Magnetostrictive actuator; Magnetic field; Engineering Mechanics; Teknisk mekanik;

    Sammanfattning : This work focuses on efficient modelling and adaptive control of friction damping in bladed disks. To efficiently simulate the friction contact, a full-3D time-discrete contact model is reformulated and an analytical expression for the Jacobian matrix is derived that reduces the computation time drastically with respect to the classical finite difference method. 3. 3. Synthesis, Characterization, and Evaluation of Ag-based Electrical Contact Materials

    Författare :Fang Mao; Ulf Jansson; Mikael Olsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; electrical contact; bulk; coating; Ag-based alloys; Ag-based delafossite; AgI; graphene; graphene oxide; combinatorial material science; dc magnetron sputtering; friction; wear; hardness; contact resistance;

    Sammanfattning : Ag is a widely used electrical contact material due to its excellent electrical properties. The problems with Ag are that it is soft and has poor tribological properties (high friction and wear in Ag/Ag sliding contacts). LÄS MER

  4. 4. Internal brand management in South African contact centers

    Författare :Rose Du Preez; Terrence Brown; Michael Bendixen; Pejvak Oghazi; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Contact centers; internal brand management; brand citizenship behavior; brand commitment; outsourcing.; Kontaktcenter; intern varumärkesutveckling; varumärkesmedborgarskap; varumärkesengagemang; utkontraktering.; Business Studies; Företagsekonomi; Industriell ekonomi och organisation; Industrial Economics and Management;

    Sammanfattning : Globally contact centers are ubiquitous in medium to large organizations operating in both B2B and B2C service industries. Frontline staff working in contact centers represent a major component of the way in which customers experience service organizations’ brands.There is a paucity of research on marketing in contact centers. 5. 5. Wavelet Galerkin methods for elastic multibody systems with unilateral contact constraints

    Författare :José Díaz López; Matematik LTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer science; Elastic MBS; Contact; Unilateral Contraints; Wavelet; DAE; Daubechies; numerical analysis; systems; control; Datalogi; numerisk analys; system; kontroll;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis we investigate the applicability of wavelets to simulate the time behavior of elastic multibody systems (MBS) with contact constraints. For this end, a wavelet element method (WEM) was implemented, exploiting the special structure of the coupled ODE/PDE equations that govern elastic MBS. LÄS MER
