6. Sustaining the Usefulness of eHealth Research Software : Lessons Learned in Action Design Research
Sammanfattning : Research software is vital to advancement in the sciences, engineering, humanities, and all other fields. Scientific research is dependent on the quality of and accessibility to research software. LÄS MER
7. Patrullerande polisers yrkeskultur
Sammanfattning : Using ethnographical methods, this thesis examines the prevalence and character of an occupational culture among patrolling police in terms of frames of reference, conduct and attitudes, a culture which overrides or is in opposition to the official mandate of the police force. It is suggested that the occupational culture of the patrolling police should not be regarded as a homogenous culture but be seen as describing a continuum from a legalistic to a more autonomous perspective. 8. Data-Centric AI for Software Performance Engineering - Predicting Workload Dependent and Independent Performance of Software Systems Using Machine Learning Based Approaches
Sammanfattning : Context: Machine learning (ML) approaches are widely employed in various software engineering (SE) tasks. Performance, however, is one of the most critical software quality requirements. Performance prediction is estimating the execution time of a software system prior to execution. LÄS MER
9. A parallel, iterative method of moments and physical optics hybrid solver for arbitrary surfaces
Sammanfattning : We have developed an MM–PO hybrid solver designed to deliver reasonable accuracy inexpensively in terms of both CPU-time and memory demands. The solver is based on an iterative block Gauss–Seidel process to avoid unnecessary storage and matrix computations, and can be used to solve the radiation and scattering problems for both disjunct and connected regions. 10. The Development and Evaluation of Hospital Pay-for-Performance in Lebanon: Casemix, Readmissions and Patient Perspectives
Sammanfattning : Background: Pay-for-performance (P4P) has been widely used in healthcare, but there are few experiences of hospital-based P4P at scale. The evidence of impact from these has been mixed, and there has been increased recognition of the importance of different contexts, designs, incentives and other factors. LÄS MER
