21. Dietetic documentation : Content, language and the meaning of standardization in Swedish dietitians’ patient record notes
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to explore dietetic notes in Swedish patient records regarding content, language and the meaning of standardization.Firstly, an audit instrument for dietetic notes in patient records, Diet-NCP-Audit, was elaborated and tested. LÄS MER
22. Environmental factors selecting for predation resistant and potentially pathogenic bacteria in aquatic environments
Sammanfattning : The long history of co-existence of bacteria and their protozoan predators in aquatic environments has led to evolution of protozoa resistant bacteria (PRB). Many of these bacteria are also pathogenic to humans. LÄS MER
23. Molecular evidence for metazooplankton feeding on filamentous cyanobacteria and picocyanobacteria in the Baltic Sea
Sammanfattning : Interactions between zooplankton and cyanobacteria are complex and system-specific. They play an important role in mediating responses of phytoplankton to changes in nutrient regime and top-down manipulations. LÄS MER
24. Phytoplankton drivers in a marine system influenced by allochthonous organic matter – the Baltic Sea
Sammanfattning : Climate change scenarios predict that seawater temperature and precipitation will increase in the Baltic Sea region during the next century. In the northern part of the Baltic Sea, increasing inflows of the terrestrial allochthonous dissolved organic matter (ADOM) are expected to be a major consequence of elevated rainfall, which can alter light and nutrient availability for phytoplankton. 25. Mechanisms structuring the pelagic microbial food web : Importance of resource and predation
Sammanfattning : Temporal and spatial variations of pelagic microorganisms in the northern Baltic Sea were studied, as well as factors influencing their abundance and growth rates. Three main questions were asked 1) How does increased productivity influence the structure of the microbial food web? 2) Does predation limitation vary between trophic levels? 3) What is the relative importance of resource and predation limitation at different trophic levels?A field study in the northern Baltic Sea showed that dominating protozoa, flagellates and ciliates, increased with increasing primary productivity from north to south.
