16. CryptoNET : Generic Security Framework for Cloud Computing Environments
Sammanfattning : The area of this research is security in distributed environment such as cloud computing and network applications. Specific focus was design and implementation of high assurance network environment, comprising various secure and security-enhanced applications. LÄS MER
17. Intelligence Partitioning for IoT : Communication and Processing Inter-Effects for Smart Camera Implementation
Sammanfattning : The Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming a tangible reality, with a variety of sensors, devices and data centres interconnected to support scenarios such as Smart City with information about traffic, city administration, health-care services and entertainment. Decomposing these systems into smaller components, results in a variety of requirements for processing and communication resources for each subsystem. LÄS MER
18. Interactive Textile Structures
Sammanfattning : Textiles of today are materials with applications in almost all our activities. We wear clothes all the time and we are surrounded with textiles in almost all our environments. The integration of multifunctional values in such a common material has become a special area of interest in recent years. LÄS MER
19. Extending Microsystems to Very High Temperatures and Chemically Harsh Environments
Sammanfattning : Aiming at applications in space exploration as well as for monitoring natural hazards, this thesis focuses on understanding and overcoming the challenges of extending the applicability of microsystems to temperatures above 600°C as well as chemically harsh environments. Alumina and zirconia high-temperature co-fired ceramics (HTCC) with platinum as the conductor material, have in this thesis, been used to manufacture a wide range of high-temperature tolerant miniaturized sensors and actuators, including pressure and flow sensors, valves, a combustor, and liquid monopropellant microthrusters. 20. Functional and Modular As=C and P=C Group Motifs
Sammanfattning : This work focuses on the design, synthesis, characterization, and application projections of low-coordinated heavy pnictogen-containing (described by the generic letter E, hence E=C) phosphaalkenes (P=C) and arsaalkenes (As=C), with emphasis on the E=C group motifs. The work aims to understand their functional and modular character, reactivity, and potential applications by stabilizing, isolating, and characterizing these species in low-coordination environments.
