  1. 1. Synchrotron X-ray based characterization of technologically relevant III-V surfaces and nanostructures

    Detta är en avhandling från Lund University , Department of physics

    Författare :Andrea Troian; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2019-03]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; synchrotron radiation; III-V semiconductors; high-k oxides; passivation; doping; XPS; AP-XPS; SPEM; XRF; full field X-ray diffraction microscopy;

    Sammanfattning : Populärvetenskaplig sammanfattning:En studie publicerad av NASA:s Goddard Institute for Space Studies år 2019 visade att de genomsnittliga globala temperaturerna under de senaste fyra åren (2015-2018) var de högsta som någonsin registrerats i människans historia. Den nyheten passar väl in i de alarmerande prognoserna om global uppvärmning, och kräver snabba och radikala handlingar. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Computational studies of core level XPS satellites in transition metal systems : Department of Quantum Chemistry, Uppsala University

    Detta är en avhandling från Lund University , Department of physics

    Författare :Johnny Bustad; Högskolan i Gävle.; [1995]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; adsorbates; shake-up; surface science; XPS; XES; INDO; model systems; NATURAL SCIENCES Physics Atomic and molecular physics Chemical physics; NATURVETENSKAP Fysik Atom- och molekylfysik Kemisk fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Upon core ionization of a free molecule or a molecule adsorbed on a metal surface, higher binding energy satellites are observed, so called "shake-up" satellites, which can be viewed as valence excitations simultaneously to the creation of the core hole. In this thesis, theoretical studies of such core level XPS satellites in transition metal systems are presented, as well as cluster calculations of XES spectra, using the quantum mechanical INDO method. 4. 4. Free Neutral Clusters and Liquids Studied by Electron Spectroscopy and Lineshape Modeling

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Henrik Bergersen; Uppsala universitet.; [2008]
    Nyckelord :Physics; Clusters; Nano-particles; XPS; UPS; AES; Radial structure; Molecular dynamics; Density functional theory; Liquids; Liquid microjet; Solvation; Fysik;

    Sammanfattning : The electronic and geometrical structure of free neutral clusters and liquids have been studied using synchrotron-radiation based photoelectron and Auger electron spectroscopy in combination with lineshape modeling. A novel experimental setup has been developed for studies of liquids, based on the liquid microjet technique. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Silicone biomaterials obtained by plasma treatment and subsequent surface hydrosilylation

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Fiber- och polymerteknologi

    Författare :Björn Olander; KTH.; [2004]
    Nyckelord :Silicone elastomers; PDMS; XPS; ESCA; surface modification; plasma;

    Sammanfattning : The need for safe and functional implants has led to anincreased demand for improved biomaterials. The performance invivo depends on the interaction between the biologicalsurrounding and the surface of the material. LÄS MER
