  1. 31. Industrial development of car disassembly - ergonomics and system performance

    Författare :Karolina Kazmierczak; Ergonomi och aerosolteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; physical workloads; production systems; muskelsystem; reumatologi; rheumatology locomotion; Skelett; muscle system; Skeleton; flow and human simulations; video-task analysis; rationalizations; car disassembly; musculoskeletal disorders; Technological sciences; Teknik;

    Sammanfattning : A new EU directive on used vehicles has recently been introduced. It demands that for every scrapped car, at least 85% by weight must be recycled by the year 2006 and 95% by 2015. The current level is about 80%. The car disassembly industry was chosen as the study object of this thesis. LÄS MER

  2. 32. Basement membrane components in the chondrocyte extracellular matrix

    Författare :Alexander Kvist; Lunds universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Skelett; rheumatology locomotion; nidogen; chondroitin sulfate; collagen assembly; Skeleton; muscle system; type IV collagen; laminin; perlecan; basement membranes; ECM; chondrcytes; muskelsystem; reumatologi;

    Sammanfattning : The extracellular matrix (ECM) is a network of macromolecules which, together with cells, forms the various tissues of all metazoan organisms. Cartilage, in contrast to most other tissues, contains relatively few cells in proportion to the volume occupied by ECM. LÄS MER

  3. 33. The Swedish Knee Arthroplasty study with special reference to unicompartmental prostheses

    Författare :Stefan Lewold; Lund Ortopedi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Skeleton; rerevision; revision; survival analysis; follow-up; Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty; prognosis; muscle system; rheumatology locomotion; Skelett; muskelsystem; reumatologi;

    Sammanfattning : The Swedish Knee Arthroplasty study has prospectively registered and followed knee arthroplasties done in Sweden since 1976. Demography, epidemiology and general knee prosthetic biofunction is given for 30,003 primary knee arthro-plasties and their revisions through 1992. LÄS MER

  4. 34. Rheumatoid Arthritis in a 10-Year Perspective, Outcome for Patients Followed from Early Disease

    Författare :Elisabet Lindqvist; Reumatologi och molekylär skelettbiologi; []

    Sammanfattning : Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is characterized by persistent inflammation, progressive joint damage and disability. This thesis describes the outcome after 10 years in a cohort of 183 RA patients (116 women, 67 men) recruited 1985-89. The mean age was 51 years and symptom duration 11 months at inclusion. LÄS MER

  5. 35. Identification and characterization of a novel cartilage gene product CILP, which is an early indicator of osteoarthritis

    Författare :Pilar Lorenzo; Reumatologi och molekylär skelettbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; muscle system; Skeleton; matrix protein; NTPPHase; CILP; osteoarthritis; human cartilage; rheumatology locomotion; Skelett; muskelsystem; reumatologi;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this work was to study alterations in the matrix composition of human articular cartilage in different stages of osteoarthritis and to isolate and characterize one of the proteins that is altered in the osteoarthritic process. The metabolism of articular cartilage in different stages of osteoarthritis including early asymptomatic OA was monitored in a culture system of metabolically labeled cartilage explants. LÄS MER
