    Sammanfattning : S. pneumoniae is a major cause of common diseases such as acute otitis media and pneumonia, as well as more serious illnesses like septicemia and meningitis. The increasing level of resistance in pneumococci threatens to change the tradition of treating common respiratory infections with narrow-spectrum penicillin. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Infantile colic, involving an otherwise healthy infant crying and fussing more than three hours per day and more than three days per week, is a common problem in Western countries.     Sammanfattning : Children across the globe today are continuously being exposed to and affected by various kinds of real-world complexities and challenges; however, research on their knowledge and practices in terms of sustainability is limited, in particular with regards to how preschool- and home-related factors are associated with their learning for sustainability. Since 1998, different types of eco-certification have been awarded by the Swedish National Agency for Education and Keep Sweden Tidy Foundation to promote education for sustainability (EfS) in all areas of education and learning.     Sammanfattning : From the radiographic archives at the Malmö University Hospital, Malmö, Sweden, we identified children below age 16 years (n=74) and adolescents between 16 to 18 years (n=40) with a clinically and radiographically diagnosed thoracic or lumbar vertebral fracture between 1950 to 1971 (with exception of two years of missing radiographs), and all adults above age 18 years (n=39) with a non-operatively treated thoracic or lumbar burst fracture during the years 1965 to 1973.
