  1. 1. Environmental fate of chemicals released from consumer products : Multimedia modelling strategies

    Författare :Anna Palm Cousins; Michael McLachlan; Antonio Di Guardo; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Multimedia fate model; urban model; PBDEs; phthalate esters; indoor environment; emissions; exposure; BDE 209; DINP; DEHP; Applied Environmental Science; tillämpad miljövetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The objective of this thesis was to assess the environmental fate and transport of chemicals emitted from consumer products through the development and application of modelling tools. The following hypotheses were tested: i) Multimedia fate models can be applied in a multistage assessment process to emerging chemicals when limited knowledge exists to identify the likely environmental fate and to direct further research; ii) the indoor environment acts as a source of anthropogenic substances in consumer products to the outdoor environment; and iii) chemical removal pathways in the indoor environment are important for the fate of organic chemicals in densely populated areas. Sammanfattning : This thesis reports on two studies in the field of multimedia. The older one, completed in 2002, has as a general aim to explore, describe and analyse the concept of multimedia in relation to the concept of information systems. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Distributed engineering : tools and methods for collaborative product development

    Författare :Peter Törlind; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Datorstödd maskinkonstruktion; Computer Aided Design; Funktionella produkter; Functional Product Development;

    Sammanfattning : Engineering design is fundamentally social, requiring much interaction and communication between the people involved. Additionally, good design often relies upon the ability of a cross-functional team to create a shared understanding of the task, the process, and the respective roles of its members. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Language and literacy acquisition in children with developmental and learning disabilities

    Författare :Tomas Tjus; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Language; literacy; communication; learning; learning disabilities; developmental disabilities; multimedia; teacher strategy;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes and explores some of the learning factors involved for language and literacy acquisition for different groups of children with learning disabilities. The theoretical framework is based upon the Rare Event Learning Model that tries to specify all the transactional factors involved (cognitive, emotional and interactional) when learning takes place.
