16. Non-ionic contrast media in acrylic bone cement
Sammanfattning : Non-ionic, water-soluble, contrast media, iohexol and/or iodixanol, have been investigated for use in acrylic bone cement aimed for arthroplasty. Bone cement, containing the new particulate contrast media , was investigated for: quasi-static mechanical properties, water uptake properties, release of contrast media from the bone cement, biological responses from particulate bone cement, polymerisation reaction, polymerisation temperature, glass transition temperature, injectability and penetration into human cancellous bone, and radiopacity. 17. Injectable Calcium Phosphate Bone Substitute In Distal Radial Fractures
Sammanfattning : Fractures of the distal end of the radius are common and occur in many different forms. The long-term results after conservative treatment of fracture of the distal end of the radius in younger adults with special reference to degenerative changes and function are investigated in 76 patients (Paper I). 18. Percutaneous arthrodesis
Sammanfattning : It has been generally accepted that residual cartilage and subchondral bone has to be removed in order to get bony fusion in arthrodeses. In 1998 we reported successful fusion of 11 rheumatoid ankles, all treated with percutaneous fixation only. In at least one of these ankle joints there was cartilage left. LÄS MER
19. Osteotomy for gonarthrosis - with special reference to the tibial callus distraction technique
Sammanfattning : Osteotomy is used for correction of the altered load on the gonarthrotic knee joint. It can be performed above or below the knee. Clinical results depend on the correction after bone healing. LÄS MER
20. Patient Relevant Outcome after Total Hip Replacement in Osteoarthritis
Sammanfattning : The purpose of the study was to evaluate patient relevant outcome after total hip replacement (THR) in patients with primary osteoarthritis (OA). 247 patients >50 years of age with primary hip OA, operated on with THR (Sept1995—Oct1998), were investigated consecutively and prospectively. 68 of the THR were made with hybrid technique.
