  1. 1. Towards Designing Better Speech Agent Interaction : Using Eye Gaze for Interaction

    Författare :Razan Jaber; Barry Brown; Donald McMillan; Kerstin Fischer; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Human-computer interaction; Conversational User Interfaces; Smart Speaker; Gaze Interaction; User Studies; Interaction Design; Gaze Detection; Agent Interaction; Wizard-of-Oz; data- och systemvetenskap; Computer and Systems Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This research is about addressing the need to better understand interaction with conversational user interfaces (CUIs) and how human-technology `conversations' can be improved by drawing on the lessons learned from human-human interaction. It focuses on incorporating abstractions of complex human behaviour, specifically gaze, to enhance interactions with speech agents in conversations. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Biofeedback Interaction : Applying Physiological Methods to Entertainment Video Games

    Författare :Diego Navarro; Veronica Sundstedt; Hans-Jürgen Zepernick; Niklas Lavesson; Valeria Garro; Enkelejda Kasneci; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Biofeedback; Natural User Interaction; Video Games; Physiology; Entertainment.; Computer Science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Biofeedback interaction offers interesting opportunities for video games since it allows player physiological information to be used in novel interaction techniques. Despite several contributions in the area, biofeedback interaction faces a set of challenges relating to its design and implementation. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Design deals with matters of aesthetics. Historically, aesthetics in industrial design refers to the designed artifact: aesthetics of objects. When designed artifacts include digital technologies, aesthetics in design refers to what happens between people and artifacts as well: aesthetics of interaction. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Expression in Live Coding: Gestural Interaction for Machine Musicianship

    Författare :Georgios Diapoulis; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; music perception; live programming; liveness; music interaction; live coding; music information retrieval; gestural control; musical interfaces; expressive interaction; music performance;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is centered on the performance practice of musical live coding, which can be described as on-the-fly decision-making for computer music performance and blurs the lines between programming languages and computer interfaces. I specifically focus on live coding as a human activity based on serial skilled actions, and I discuss how we can interact gesturally with interfaces that are modified dynamically. LÄS MER
