Sammanfattning : A collection of furniture, most of which was produced before 1770, forms the basis of this description and explanation of the characteristics distinguishing vernacular furniture from bourgeois furniture, and the vernacular furniture in one area from that in another. 8. Kurbits-ReBoot : svensk folksång i ny scenisk gestaltning
Sammanfattning : This artistic research project is an explorative study in new forms of expression of Swedish folk singing in a scenic context, exploring expressive qualities in traditional Swedish folk song from the point of view of the folk singer as a creative performer. The fundamental research question is how, in a scenic context, can space be given to what is a characteristic quality of traditional folk song, namely creative interpretation in the moment, through variation and improvisation using the song as a concept rather than a fixed work. Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to critically examine the educational area of folk and world music within higher education in Sweden, with a focus on questions of knowledge, power, and governance. The study is ethnographic and the data were produced in the 2016–2017 period through observations of lessons, concerts, and examinations in three educational environ- ments, and through interviews with teachers and students.
