1. Sorption and weathering properties of naturally occurring chlorites
Sammanfattning : Chlorite is a ferrous silicate mineral occurring as afracture filling mineral in the Swedish granite bedrock thatsurrounds the area of the candidate Swedish geologicalrepositories for nuclear waste. To investigate the importance of chlorites as a naturalbarrier for radionuclide migration sorption of Ni(II) onto anatural chlorite was chosen as the studied system. LÄS MER
2. Allogeneic stem cell transplantation in children : identification and prevention of complications : adoptive transfer of EBV-immunity
Sammanfattning : Allogeneic stem cell transplantation (SCT) can cure leukaemia, aplastic anaemia, and some inborn errors of metabolism and immunodeficiencies in children. As only 113 of patients who need SCT have an HLA-identical sibling, the use of alternative donors has increased, to over 50% of all paediatric SCTs at our centre. LÄS MER

Concurrently, competition within the industry is increasing, and therefore focus is constantly being placed on reducing costs and leveraging economies of scale. LÄS MER
4. Nanomaterials : respiratory and immunological effects following inhalation of engineered nanoparticles
Sammanfattning : Background Nanotechnology is an important and promising field that can lead to improved environment and human health and contribute to a better social and economic development. Materials in nanoscale have unique physiochemical properties which allow for completely new technical applications. LÄS MER
5. Down syndrome : Growth and endocrine impact
Sammanfattning : Down syndrome (DS) is associated with psychomotor retardation, short stature and endocrine dysfunction. Statural growth is a well-known indicator of health. The growth in DS differs markedly from that of other children and there is a 20 cm reduction of final height as compared to target height. LÄS MER
