  1. 1. Development of a new service-oriented modelling method for information systems analysis and design

    Författare :Prima Gustiené; Anders G Nilsson; Sten Carlsson; William Wei Song; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Information systems analysis and design; conceptual modeling; service orientation; semantic integrity; static and dynamic aspects; goal modeling.; Informatics; Informatik; Information Systems; Informatik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a new modelling method for information systems analysis and design, where the concept of service and the principles of service orientation are used for integrated modelling and reasoning about information systems architectures across organisational and technical systems boundaries. The concept of service enables cohesion of the intersubjective and objective modelling traditions by using a single type of diagram that facilitates detection of semantic inconsistency, incompleteness, ambiguity and discontinuity between the static and dynamic aspects of information systems specifications. 2. 2. Towards Increased Use of Discrete-Event Simulation for Hospital Resource Planning

    Författare :Krisjanis Steins; Jan Lundgren; Fredrik Persson; Sten Walther; Sally Brailsford; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Health care systems in many countries are experiencing a growing demand while their resources remain limited. The discrepancy between demand and capacity creates many problems – long waiting times for treatment, overcrowding in hospital wards, high workload, etc. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Logistics Service Providers Going Green : A Framework for Developing Green Service Offerings

    Författare :Karin Isaksson; Maria Huge-Brodin; Maria Björklund; Mats Abrahamsson; Roland Hellberg; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Logistics service providers; new service development; framework; green service offerings; environmental work;

    Sammanfattning : Environmental impact has increasingly become a “buzzword” and an important topic. This topic has been integrated into the agenda of many companies worldwide, and this dissertation focuses on the transportation and logistics industry. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Enhancing the Industrial Service Offering : New Requirements on Content and Processes

    Författare :Christian Kowalkowski; Staffan Brege; Per-Olof Brehmer; Lars Witell; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industrial service offerings; Bundling; Customer relationships; Process interfaces; Industrial organisation; administration and economics; Industriell organisation; administration och ekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : The overall purpose of this thesis is to describe and analyse how capital goods manufacturers can enhance their industrial service offering.The theoretical basis of this research is found in services marketing, recognising co-creation of value, that the service process is an open production system and that the customer determines value as the manufacturer can only offer value propositions. 5. 5. Formal Approaches for Behavioral Modeling and Analysis of Design-time Services and Service Negotiations

    Författare :Aida Čaušević; Paul Pettersson; Cristina Seceleanu; Ina Schieferdecker; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Service-Oriented Systems; Formal modeling and Analysis; Service; Service Composition; Service Negotiation; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : During the past decade service-orientation has become a popular design paradigm, offering an approach in which services are the functional building blocks. Services are self-contained units of composition, built to be invoked, composed, and destroyed on (user) demand. LÄS MER
