  1. 1. Crosstalk between colorectal cancer cells and tumour-associated macrophages

    Författare :Yuan Zhang; Malmö Cellpatologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; CD47; tumour-associated macrophage; matrix metalloproteinase; cell migration; colon cancer;

    Sammanfattning : Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer and the fourth leading cause of death from cancer worldwide. People suffering from inflammatory bowel disease, such as Crohns’ disease and ulcerative colitis, are at an increased risk of developing CRC. The development of CRC is highly influenced by the tumour microenvironment. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma - tumour characteristics on RNA and protein level associated with prognosis

    Sammanfattning : Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most frequent lymphoma subtype. In Sweden 450 new cases are diagnosed annually. With modern anthracycline-containing chemotherapy DLBCL is potentially curable, with an estimated overall cure rate of approximately 50% for patients with advanced stage disease. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The leukocyte complexity and mutational landscape of periampullary adenocarcinoma. Morphology matters

    Författare :Sebastian Lundgren; Tumörmikromiljö; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; periampullary adenocarcinoma; pancreatic cancer; immune microenviroment; prognosis; macrophages; natural killer cells; natural killer T cells; T cells; B cells;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Periampullary adenocarcinomas are a heterogenous group of tumours with poor prognosis that hasnot improved considerably the last decades. Tumour morphology, i.e. intestinal type (I-type) or pancreatobiliarytype (PB-type), has been demonstrated to be a more relevant prognostic factor than anatomical origin. LÄS MER

    Författare :Emelie Karnevi; Lund Kirurgi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Pancreatic cancer is the fourth cause of cancer-related death with a 5-year survival rate less than 5%. Two of the risk factors are chronic pancreatitis and type 2 diabetes (T2D), which are believed to promote the tumour progression. LÄS MER
