  1. 1. Railway traffic disturbance management

    Författare :Johanna Törnquist; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Railway traffic; Transportation; Re-scheduling; Disturbance management; Decision support systems;

    Sammanfattning : With the increasing traffic volumes in many railway networks and reports on capacity deficiencies that result in insufficient punctuality and reliability, the need for efficient disturbance management solutions becomes evident. This thesis focuses on solutions that aim to minimise the consequences of disturbances for the various stakeholders and specifically on methods for re-scheduling the traffic. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The Public Transport Preferences of Elderly People; A study related to individual capacity and environmental stress in service route traffic and other systems

    Författare :Helena Svensson; Trafik och väg; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; walking distance; valuation; standard factors; conjoint analysis; stated preference method; trunk routes; special transport; service routes; restrictions; physical capacity; preferences; travellers; public transport; elderly people; traffic planning; Road transport technology; Vägtransportteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Providing accessible, acceptable and appreciated public transport for elderly people is essential. This work studies the relation between elderly people’s preferences of standard factors in different public transport systems, and their physical capacity. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Identification and promotion of attitudes related to pro-environmental travel behaviour

    Författare :Maria Johansson; Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; []

    Sammanfattning : A reduction of the negative environmental impact caused by urban traffic will to a considerable extent depend on behavioural change. Assuming that attitudes partly guide behaviour, the general aim of the thesis was to increase the understanding of the underlying attitudes of daily travel behaviour and how attitudes related to pro-environmental choice of transport can be promoted. Sammanfattning : The Internet of today is very different from how it used to be. Modern networked applications are becoming increasingly diverse. Consequently, a variety of requirements must be met by the network. Efforts to make the underlying mechanisms of the Internet more flexible have therefore been made to adapt to this diversification. 5. 5. Pediatric injury care in low-resource hospital settings. Insight from Mozambique, before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic

    Författare :Vanda Amado; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Children are a high-risk group for injuries and the burden is disproportionally high in low- resource settings such as the African continent, which has the highest population of children globally. In low-resource settings in sub-Saharan Africa, the COVID19 pandemic exposed known weaknesses of fragile health systems in providing quality pediatric care. LÄS MER
