  1. 1. Integrated Life Cycle Design - Applied to concrete multi-dwelling buildings

    Författare :Mats Öberg; Avdelningen för Byggnadsmaterial; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; livslängd; materialval; energianvändning; inomhusklimat; livscykelanalyser; livscykelkostnader; hållbar utveckling; Sustainable construction; Building construction; Service life design; Multiple Attribute Decision Analysis; Energy efficient buildings; Life Cycle Assessment; projektering; betongkonstruktioner; flerbostadshus; Byggnadsteknik; Integrated life cycle design; Life Cycle Costing;

    Sammanfattning : The objective of this work is to explore ways of enhancing the overall lifetime quality, including cost and environmental efficiency, of Swedish concrete multi-dwelling buildings. The building and its characteristics, as well as the procedures for whole life optimisation, are addressed. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Co-firing complex biomass in a CFB boiler : ash transformation, corrosion control and materials selection

    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ash transformation; process control; equilibrium calculations; boiler availability; failures; alloy selection; alloy degradation; vortex finder VF ; service life estimation; sulfation; chloridation; high temperature corrosion; biomass; waste derived fuels; forest residues; RDF; Biomal; slaughterhouse waste; peat; waste wood; industrial waste water treatment sludge; HAD; RSMT; Alloy 253MA; Alloy 310S; Alloy 800H HT; Alloy DS; Alloy 600;

    Sammanfattning : The effects of greenhouse gas net emissions on global warming, stricter legislation on waste handling, and the pursuit of ever cheaper heat- and power production are all important factors driving the introduction of complex fuels in incineration plants. However - without fundamental knowledge regarding ash transformation, corrosion control, and materials selection – this introduction of potentially economically and environmentally beneficial fuels, might instead cause economic loss and environmentally adverse effects. 3. 3. On the Design and Life Prediction of Transmission Belts Made of Elastomer Composites

    Författare :Dag Fritzson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Friction; Material properties; Elastomer; Composite; Damage; Fatigue; Viscoelastic; Anisotropic; Wear; Constitutive theory; Life prediciton; V-belt; Belt transmission; Rubber;

    Sammanfattning : Next to gear transmissions, belt transmissions are the most important mechanical transmissions. Today, belt design and development is based on extensive application tests of belts in the product development process. There is a need for theory development and design support systems. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Environmental Assessment of Building Products and Components in a Service Life Perspective

    Författare :Åsa Rimsjö; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a survey of different tools, used byenvironmental consultants in Sweden, for their recommendationsof building products and components in different constructionprojects. The goal was to identify possible improvements of thetools so that life cycle methodology could be used to a largerextent than today. LÄS MER

  5. 5. A NEW APPROACH TO CRACK CONTROL FOR REINFORCED CONCRETE - An investigation of crack widhts close to the reinforcement and the correlation to service life

    Författare :Kristian Tammo; Avdelningen för Konstruktionsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; concrete cover; corrosion; Crack width; steel stress and service life;

    Sammanfattning : One of the most important factors governing durability of concrete structures is reinforcement corrosion, and to prevent degradation associated with it, it is desirable to use large concrete covers. However, if the concrete cover is increased, the majority of design methods will predict that the crack widths at the concrete surface increase significantly. LÄS MER
