  1. 31. Cell Replacement Therapy for Parkinson's Disease: Potential for Circuitry Repair

    Författare :Tiago Cardoso; Utvecklings- och regenerativ neurobiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Rabies-based tracing; Parkinson s disease cell therapy; Cell Replacement Therapy; Human embryonic stem cells; Dopamine neuron; Synaptic integration; circuitry repair;

    Sammanfattning : The derivation of dopamine neurons from human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) now offers a promising alternative to fetal tissue for cell replacement therapy (CRT) in Parkinson´s disease (PD). Using the appropriate chemical cues in vitro, hESCs can be patterned towards bona-fide ventral midbrain (VM) DA neurons that survive, reinnervate, release DA and provide functional recovery when transplanted into rodent and non-human primate models of PD. 2. 32. Tissue repair in lung disorders

    Författare :Annika Andersson Sjöland; Lungbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The remodeling phase of tissue repair in lung disorders such as idiopathic pulmonary disease, asthma, obliterative bronchiolitis, and after lung transplantation is not well understood. One of the key players in fibrosis is the fibroblast and its progenitor, the fibrocyte. LÄS MER

  3. 33. Learning from assessments of resource efficiency measures and their impact on resource use and the environment - Based on a case of additive manufacturing and a review of assessment studies

    Författare :Daniel Böckin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; circular economy; repair; 3D-printing; active products; automotive; resource efficiency; reuse; additive manufacturing; remanufacturing; life cycle assessment;

    Sammanfattning : Resource efficiency measures have the potential to reduce the environmental and resource impacts of the current linear economy by decreasing the physical flows of material and energy associated with producing and using products and services. In order to investigate this potential, there is a need for assessments from a systems perspective, which for example enables the identification of possible trade-offs between different measures and aspects of resource efficiency depending on the product characteristics. 4. 34. Tolkmedierade samtal som rollspel

    Författare :Magnus Dahnberg; Ingrid Maier; Cecilia Wadensjö; Hannu Tommola; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; translation studies; interpreter testing; interpreter training; role plays; repair; turn-taking; Slaviska språk; Slavic Languages;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis draws onthree sets of recordings of Swedish-Russian interpreter-mediated conversations,carried out as role plays. First,scripted role plays, performed as part of the Swedish state interpretercertification test, involving candidate interpreters and officials from thegovernmental body providing these tests.
