  1. 1. Volatile metabolites from microorganisms in indoor environments : sampling, analysis and identification

    Författare :Anna-Lena Sunesson; Alvin Fox; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Adsorbents; Analysis; Cultivation; Determination; Gas chromatography; Identification; Indicator substances; Indoor air; Mass spectrometry; Metabolites; Microbial volatile organic compounds; Optimization; Sampling; Sick buildings; Thermal desorption; Aspergillus versicolor; Cladosporium cladosporioides; Paecilomyces variotii; Pénicillium commune; Phialophora fastigiata; Streptomyces albidoflavus;

    Sammanfattning : Microorganisms are able to produce a wide variety of volatile organic compounds. This thesis deals with sampling, analysis and identification of such compounds, produced by microorganisms commonly found in buildings. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Object Identification for Autonomous Forest Operations

    Författare :Songyu Li; Magnus Karlberg; Ulf Bodin; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Maskinkonstruktion; Machine Design;

    Sammanfattning : The need to further unlock productivity of forestry operations urges the increase of forestry automation. Many essential operations in forest production, such as harvesting, forwarding, planting, etc. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Identification and Estimation for Models Described by Differential-Algebraic Equations

    Författare :Markus Gerdin; Torkel Glad; Lennart Ljung; Manfred Deistler; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Differential-Algebraic Equations; Identifiability; Nonlinear systems; Modelling; Identification; Descriptor systems; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Differential-algebraic equations (DAEs) form the natural way in which models of physical systems are delivered from an object-oriented modeling tool like Modelica. Differential-algebraic equations are also known as descriptor systems, singular systems, and implicit systems. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Parameter Estimation in Linear Descriptor Systems

    Författare :Markus Gerdin; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :differential-algebraic equations; descriptor systems; identification; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Linear descriptor systems form the natural way in which linear models of physical systems are delivered from an object-oriented modeling tool like Modelica. Linear descriptor systems are also known as linear differential-algebraic equations in the continuous-time case. LÄS MER

  5. 5. TV-tittande som dialog : På väg mot en symbolisk-interaktionistisk TV-teori

    Författare :Margareta Rönnberg; Stockholms universitet Institutionen för filmvetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; identification; para-social interaction; mirroring; symbolic interactionism; role-taking; the TV-other ; the generalized media-other ; dialogue; aesthetic philosphy; imagination; narrative psychology; identity construction; values; evaluation;

    Sammanfattning : Research itself -  on television and the young -  is the object of this research. From a humanistic viewpoint, relational and interactional concepts are critically scrutinized: how have eg 'identification' and 'para-social interaction' been defined and used by (psycho-analytically influenced) mass communication researchers in sociology, psychology and pedagogy in order to allegedly 'explain' the 'effects' of television on the identity, personality or behavior of young viewers? These definitions and uses are found lacking in many respects, and the views of insightful film theoreticians are recommended instead. LÄS MER
