   Sammanfattning : By using Norman Fairclough’s version of critical discourse analysis, this study analyzes interpretations and depictions of the Hebrew Bible in debate articles in Sweden’s four largest daily newspapers between 1987 and 2017. The study is conducted from a reception critical perspective, analyzing and criticizing dominant strategies of interpretation and assumed interpretive preferences. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : One of the defining features of contemporary zeitgeist is that we live in an era of mediatization – a metaprocess, through (and by) which all everyday relations increasingly depend on networked media technologies and online communication channels.Due to rapid developments in digital electronics, all these Internet- or mobile-enabled platforms, and devices, are prone to the processes of quantification and datafication, and as such, surveillance is a principal dimension that lies at the core of mediatization.    Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines the construction of an imaginary America in Swedish travel writing from 1945 to 1963. By placing focus on the intersecting dimensions of gender, media, and visuality, the aim is to analyze Swedish notions of the US that surface both in the written word as well as in the illustrative material, by contextualizing these imaginings within the expanding media culture of the time.
