Sammanfattning : This thesis seeks to better understand the formation and implementation of the restrictions that the EU and EU member states have imposed on exports of military and security equipment. Specifically, the thesis develops two norms-based theoretical frameworks for understanding how and why particular restrictions become integrated in states’ national and collective export controls, why others are rejected, and the different ways this integration occurs. Sammanfattning : The main purpose of the thesis is to assess the role of the EU Presidency in the development of the Northern Dimension (ND) – an initiative on the European Union’s foreign policy agenda. Sammanfattning : There are three starting points for this thesis. First, there is the system of ESD, which is criticised for lacking capacity to improve the working conditions within the EU. Sammanfattning : Governments around the world use immigration detention to detain and deport irregular immigrants, which negatively affects their health. 5. Homeless in 'The People's Home' : Exploring the experiences of 'vulnerable EU citizens' in Stockholm, Sweden
Sammanfattning : Since the early 2010s, Stockholm has seen a visible emergence of homelessness and begging amongst predominantly Romanian citizens, many of whom identify as Roma, who have collectively come to be known as ‘vulnerable EU citizens’. Despite their prolonged presence and a great deal of political attention, there remains a lack of in-depth research into their experiences of homelessness in the city. LÄS MER
