41. Studies of ester formation on a cellulose matrix
Sammanfattning : In this work a model system has been developed to quantitatively study esterification of cellulosic material during drying and heating in which solid-state conditions can be said to predominate. The formation of ester cross-links in cellulosic or lignocellulosic composite materials during drying and heating is of interest for production of paper and wood composite boards, for wood modification and in giving cotton materials improved characteristics. 42. The Carboxyl Ester Lipase Gene. Organization, Evolution and Transcriptional Regulation in Exocrine Pancreas and Mammary Gland
Sammanfattning : The carboxyl ester lipase (CEL) is an important enzyme for the intestinal absorption of dietary lipids. In humans the gene is highly expressed in exocrine pancreas and in the lactating mammary gland. It is secreted in an inactive form and becomes activated by bile salts in the intestine. LÄS MER
43. Engineering carbonic anhydrase for highly selective ester hydrolysis
44. Cleavable Cationic Gemini Surfactants
Sammanfattning : This research project concerns investigations of ester-containing cationic gemini surfactants (esterquat and betaine ester types). These dimeric surfactants are compared with their monomeric counterparts. LÄS MER
45. Responsive Molecular Systems through Dynamic Covalent Chemistry
Sammanfattning : Nature tends to inspire research in chemistry. Systems that emerge from molecules interacting via reaction networks is something that life has mastered over the course of evolution in order to produce complexity. Dynamic reactions are key in systems chemistry, where reaction networks give rise to complex, emergent behavior. LÄS MER
