26. This Untethered Buffoon or the Trickster in Everything
Sammanfattning : This Untethered Buffoon or the Trickster in Everything is a documented artistic research project (Doctoral Thesis) in Performative and Mediated Practices, comprising a series of excavations and vivisections of W(w)hiteness through clowning, making and thinging. This work/play traverses the fields of critical whiteness studies, performance and clowning, visual and cultural anthropology and decolonial critique. LÄS MER
27. Correlation spectroscopy with epitaxial quantum dots : Single-photons alone in the dark
Sammanfattning : The advent of quantum computation promises exciting advances, not only in fields like medicine and metrology, but many industries that rely on parameter-heavy calculations or simulation of molecular interaction. At the same time Shor's algorithm for quantum computers presents a threat to current asymmetric encryption protocols used in everyday communication. LÄS MER

29. Coherent Processes in Rare-Earth-Ion-Doped Solids
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes a number of coherent processes, such as quantum information processing, superradiance and electromagnetically induced transparency, which have been experimentally implemented using rare-earth-ion-doped crystals. The rare-earths are a class of elements that have in common, an atomic structure that allows for very long lifetimes as well as coherence times, both on optical transitions and on spin transitions. 30. Entanglement spectrum and the bulk polarization
Sammanfattning : In this Licentiate thesis we give a brief review on the topics of topologicalinsulator and superconductor phases, the modern theory of polarization andthe entanglement spectrum, with a focus on one- and two-dimensional systems. In the context of symmetry protected topological systems the bulk polarizationcan be a topological invariant which characterizes the topological phase.
