6. Dynamics of Quantum Correlations with Photons : Experiments on bound entanglement and contextuality for application in quantum information
Sammanfattning : The rapidly developing interdisciplinary field of quantum information, which merges quantum and information science, studies non-classical aspects of quantum systems. These studies are motivated by the promise that the non-classicality can be used to solve tasks more efficiently than classical methods would allow. LÄS MER
7. Entanglement in quantum communication : preparation and characterization of photonic qubits
Sammanfattning : At the heart of quantum physics lies the principle of superposition, and at the heart of information theory lies the bit. Perhaps the most useful property of quantum systems is that they can be loaded with information bits, so-called qubits, that are indefinitely both 0 and 1 until a measurement is made. LÄS MER
8. High visibility six-photonentanglement
Sammanfattning : Entanglement is a key resource in many quantum information schemes andin the last years the research on multi-qubit entanglement has drawn lots ofattention. In this thesis the experimental generation and characterization ofmulti-qubit entanglement is presented. LÄS MER
9. Photonic quantum information and experimental tests of foundations of quantum mechanics
Sammanfattning : Entanglement is a key resource in many quantum information schemes and in the last years the research on multi-qubit entanglement has drawn lots of attention. In this thesis the experimental generation and characterisation of multi-qubit entanglement is presented. Specifically we have prepared entangled states of up to six qubits. LÄS MER
10. Multi Quanta Relaxation and Nonclassicality of Nonlinear Oscillators
Sammanfattning : The focus of the study is the free quantum evolution of Duffing oscillators which are nonlinearly coupled to bosonic environments. The work evolves from a particular system of an undamped, nonlinear graphene resonator mode to a more generalized framework of oscillator modes interacting with two different configurations of bosonic environments.
