1. Toward Privacy-Preserving Decentralised Systems
Sammanfattning : Privacy enhancing technologies have proven to be a beneficial area of research lessening the threats users' privacy in centralised systems such as online social networks. Decentralised solutions have been proposed to extend the control that users have over their data as opposed to the centralised massive collection of personal and sensitive data. LÄS MER
2. Microbial risk assessment and its implications for risk management in urban water systems
Sammanfattning : Infectious disease can be transmitted via various environmental pathways, many of which are incorporated into our water and wastewater systems. Quantitative microbial risk assessment (QMRA) can be a valuable tool in identifying hazard exposure pathways and estimating their associated health impacts. LÄS MER
3. Decentralised Privilege Management for Access Control
Sammanfattning : The Internet and the more recent technologies such as web services, grid computing, utility computing and peer-to-peer computing have created possibilities for very dynamic collaborations and business transactions where information and computational resources may be accessed and shared among autonomous and administratively independent organisations. In these types of collaborations, there is no single authority who can define access policies for all the shared resources. LÄS MER

Within the framework of such a radical shift, this dissertation in photography insists on probing into and exploring the persisting effects of analogue photographs within digital ecologies. LÄS MER
5. Om vikten av att i automationsprocessen integrera handens och hjärnans arbete
Sammanfattning : This licentiate report attempts to add to our knowledge of how the competence of skilled workers can be incorporated into modern manufacturing systems, without depriving them of the status that they had earned through their previous specialised skills and knowledge. The work is concentrated on establishing a theoretical basis for a model of how the computer can support this work: the Operator's Computer approach has been applied in three case-studies, thus taking it over the threshold into the Swedish engineering industry.
