  1. 6. Granulation and recycling of polymers

    Författare :Toni Reftman; Industriell Produktion; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; materialteknik; Materiallära; Material technology; akustik; vibrationer; vakuumteknik; granulation; granulators; recycling; size reduction; cutting resistance; hydraulics; Mechanical engineering; vacuum technology; vibration and acoustic engineering; hydraulik; Maskinteknik; Polymer technology; biopolymers; Polymerteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The use of polymers and composite materials based on polymer matrix systems increases. With this raise the demands on recycling of both post-consumer and in house based material increase. The demands on the recycling process also increase. The reason is that the process more often has to be a part of the conventional production line. LÄS MER

  2. 7. The Metallurgical Aspects of Machinability in Prehardened Mould Steels

    Författare :Seyyed Mohammad Hamed Hoseiny; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Bainitic structure; Tool Life; Cutting Temperature; Cutting Force; Machinability; Microstructure; Tempered Martensite; Plastic Mould Steels;

    Sammanfattning : High economical efficiency obtained by utilizing prehardened mould steels in plastic mould making has increased the usage of these types of steels to a great extent. Generally, prehardened mould steels are applied for large moulds and moulds for moderate production runs, and one of the advantages of using this type of steel is that no heat treatment is necessary for putting the mould in use. Sammanfattning : Performance of indexable insert cutting tools is not only about the performance of cutting inserts. It is also about the cutting tool body, which has to provide a secure and accurate insert positioning as well as its quick and easy handling under severe working conditions. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Microstructural, Mechanical and Tribological Characterisation of CVD and PVD Coatings for Metal Cutting Applications

    Författare :Mikael Fallqvist; Staffan Jacobsson; Mikael Olsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Tribology; Friction; Wear; Coatings; CVD; PVD; Alumina; Metal cutting; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot tribomaterial; Engineering Science with specialization in Tribo Materials; Steel Forming and Surface Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The present thesis focuses on characterisation of microstructure and the resulting mechanical and tribological properties of CVD and PVD coatings used in metal cutting applications. These thin and hard coatings are designed to improve the tribological performance of cutting tools which in metal cutting operations may result in improved cutting performance, lower energy consumption, lower production costs and lower impact on the environment.
