  1. 36. Microengineered CVD Diamond Surfaces : Tribology and Applications

    Författare :Joakim Andersson; Staffan Jacobson; Arto Alahelisten; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materials science; Diamond; DLC; Tribology; Friction; Environment; Microengineering; Materialvetenskap; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Recent developments in thin film synthesis of diamond have facilitated a host of new technical applications. These are motivated by the many attractive properties of diamond, for example high hardness, chemical inertness, transparency and heat conductivity. Unfortunately, these properties also make it difficult to fashion complex geometries. LÄS MER

  2. 37. Purchasing practices of environmentally preferable transport services, Guidance to increased shipper considerations

    Författare :Maria Björklund; Teknisk logistik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Technological sciences; Industriell ekonomi; Commercial and industrial economics; Shippers perspective; Logistics Management; Transport services; Green Purchasing; Purchasing; Environment; Teknik; Environmental technology; pollution control; Miljöteknik; kontroll av utsläpp; TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : The logistical activity of transport is one of the largest contributors to several environmental problems. One efficient and effective way to decrease the environmental impact from transports is to implement changes in the logistically related strategies and activities applied, such as the selection of transport suppliers. Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to develop better understanding of the relationship between microclimate and urban design in the hot dry city of Damascus. This is done by studying the impact of urban regulations on microclimate in different urban design patterns in modern Damascus. LÄS MER

  5. 40. On User Involvement in Research on Ageing and Health

    Författare :Joakim Frögren; Aktivt och hälsosamt åldrande; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Digital health; Housing provision; E-health; Dementia; Ageing in place; Built environment; Decision support; Housing accessibility; Housing and health; Research circle; Trade-offs; Planning; Public health; User involvement; Sweden; Older people; Ageing and older people; Mild Cognitive Impairment;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to explore the perceptions of, prerequisites for and benefits of user involvement among older people, persons with functional impairments and other user groups important to the research area. By using an adapted conceptual tool to categorize the various user involvement studies comprising the thesis, the aim wasalso to reflect on the importance of study design for the outcomes of the user involvement, and thus to contribute to the development of generalizable knowledge and cumulative knowledge in research on ageing and health.
