  1. 1. Long time follow up of implant therapy and treatment of peri-implantitis

    Författare :Ann‐Marie Roos‐Jansåker; Malmö högskola; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : POPULÄRVETENSKAPLIG SAMMANSTÄLLNINGDentala implantat har blivit ett ofta använt alternativ för att ersätta förlorade tänder, vilket resulterat i att en ökad andel av den vuxna befolkningen är försedd med implantatförankrad protetik. Trots attfördelaktiga långtidsresultat av implantatbehandling rapporteratsförekommer infektioner. LÄS MER

  2. 2. On the mortality of patients treated with dental implants: Association to age, degree of tooth loss, and treatment modality

    Författare :Jan Kowar; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Mortality; age; socioeconomic status; edentulous; dental implant;

    Sammanfattning : Rehabilitation of partially or completely edentulous patients with implant-supported prostheses is a common treatment in dentistry. Clinical studies evaluating this type of treatment have largely focused on technical and biolog-ical complications. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Conventional spiral and low-dose computed mandibular tomography for dental implant planning

    Författare :Annika Ekestubbe; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Artifacts; Dental Implantation; Endosseous; methods; Dental Implants; Humans; Jaw; Edentulous; radiography; Mandible; radiography; Patient Care Planning; Phantoms; Imaging; Radiation Dosage; Radiography; Dental; methods; Reproducibility of Results; Tomography; X-Ray; instrumentation; methods; Tomography; X-Ray Computed; methods;

    Sammanfattning : Absorbed doses to radiosensitive organs in the head and neck from pre-implant conventional hypocycloidal, conventional spiral and computed tomography (CT) were measured with thermoluminescent dosimeters in an anthropomorphic phantom head. From conventional tomography organ doses, except to the major salivary glands, were below 0.2 mGy. LÄS MER

  4. 4. On loading protocols and abutment use in implant dentistry. Clinical studies

    Författare :Catharina Göthberg; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; abutment design; clinical studies; dental implants; dental prosthesis; implant-supported; gene expression; health; immediate implant loading; marginal bone loss; osseointegration; prosthodontics; risk factors; smoking; treatment outcome;

    Sammanfattning : ABSTRACT Research questions: The influence of immediate or delayed loading and the use of abutments in implant dentistry with regard to peri-implant tissues and the effect of risk parameters. Methodology: Fifty partially edentulous patients each received three Brånemark TiUnite™ implants. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Towards better understanding of small joint arthroplasty in the hand. Silicone implants, osseointegrated implants and functional outcome

    Författare :Karin Möller; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :artroplasy; MCP; PIP; osseointegration; hand surgery;

    Sammanfattning : Today the most widely used implants for small joint arthroplasty in the hand are flexible silicone implants, introduced by Swanson in the 1960 s. They are encapsulated by connective tissue, which allows pistoning movements in the bone marrow canal This type of implant, mostly used in rheumatic patients, gives high patient satisfaction, relief of pain, correction of deformity and a changed arc of motion towards a more functional position.
