  2. 27. Laser Welding and Additive Manufacturing of Duplex Stainless Steels : Properties and Microstructure Characterization

    Författare :Amir Baghdadchi; Leif Karlsson; Vahid Hosseini; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Production Technology; Produktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Duplex stainless steels (DSS), with a ferritic-austenitic microstructure, are used ina wide range of applications thanks to their high corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical properties. However, efficient and successful production and joining of DSS require precise control of processes and an in-depth understanding o frelations between composition, processing thermal cycles, resulting microstructures and properties. 3. 28. Rare-gas Clusters Studied by Electron Spectroscopy : Structure of Heterogeneous Clusters and Effects of Electron Scattering on Auger Decay

    Författare :Marcus Lundwall; Olle Björneholm; Gunnar Öhrwall; Maxim Tchaplyguine; Thomas Möller; Uppsala universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : In this Thesis experimental studies of nano-clusters using synchrotron radiation based photoelectron (UPS and XPS) and Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES) are presented. The investigations may be divided into two parts where the first reports on the structure of heterogeneous two component clusters, and the second concerns electronic decay processes. LÄS MER

  4. 29. Simulation of runaway electron generation during plasma shutdown by impurity injection

    Författare :Tamás Fehér; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; disruption mitigation; fusion plasma physics; impurity injection; runaway electron; tokamak;

    Sammanfattning : Disruptions are dangerous instabilities in tokamaks that should be avoided or mitigated. One possible disruption mitigation method is to inject impurities into the plasma to shut it down in a controlled way. Runaway Electrons (REs) can be generated after the plasma is cooled down bythe impurities and these electrons can damage the tokamak. LÄS MER

  5. 30. Attosecond interferometry: techniques and spectroscopy

    Författare :David Kroon; Atomfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Fysicumarkivet A:2016:Kroon; Electron wave packet; Attosecond Pulse trains; Photoionization; Photoemission time delay; High-order harmonic generation; Interferometry; Electron dynamics;

    Sammanfattning : The interaction between an intense laser pulse and a gas medium leads to the emission of coherent bursts of light in the extreme ultraviolet range. This process, known as high-order harmonic generation, has today, almost three decades after its discovery, developed into a reliable source of extremely short (on the order of 100 as) pulses of electromagnetic radiation, with a wide range of applications in the atomic, molecular and optical sciences.
