  1. 1. Resource Allocation with Potts Mean Field Neural Network Techniques

    Författare :Martin Lagerholm; Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Potts; combinatorial optimization; ANN; mean field; approximation; routing; unicast; multicast; airline crew; scheduling; ECG; NP-complete.; Matematik; Mathematics; algorithm; Systems engineering; computer technology; Data- och systemvetenskap; Fysicumarkivet A:1998:Lagerholm;

    Sammanfattning : Potts mean field artificial neural network techniques are developed and applied to airline crew scheduling problems and routing problems. A propagator formalism in terms of Potts neurons is developed to handle global topological issues. An integrated method for identifying and classifying ECG complexes is presented. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Cabin Air Quality in Commercial Aircraft : Exposure, Symptoms and Signs

    Författare :Torsten Lindgren; Dan Norbäck; Gunilla Wieslander; Jan Sundell; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Medicine; airline crew; aviation medicine; micro-organism; cabin air quality; air humidity; atopy; occupational exposure; environmental tobacco smoke ETS ; psychosocial work environment; Medicin; Dermatology and venerology; clinical genetics; internal medicine; Dermatologi och venerologi; klinisk genetik; invärtesmedicin; arbets- och miljömedicin; Occupational and Environmental Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : The objective of the dissertation was to study the cabin environment, and identify personal and environmental risk factors, associated with symptoms, and perception of cabin air quality. Another objective was to study if ban of smoking, and increased relative air humidity on intercontinental flights, could have a beneficial health effect. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Adapting to increased automation in the aviation industry through performance measurement and training : Barriers and potential

    Författare :Johan Rignér; Lena Mårtensson; Pernilla Ulfvengren; Don Harris; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industrial work science; Industriell arbetsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The increased use of automation has affected the work on the flight deck. The Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR), deployed with the purpose to increase the European ATM system performance, identifies automation as a key enabler to increase future system performance. The aviation system is a complex large socio-technical system. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Flying personnel : cancer, acute myocardial infarction and mortality

    Författare :Anette Linnersjö; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: Flying personnel are exposed to several factors in the work environment that can potentially increase their cancer incidence, mortality and acute myocardial infarction (AMI) incidence. The aim of this licentiate thesis is to study cancer incidence among Swedish cabin crew in relation to exposures in the work environment and to study mortality and AMI incidence in Swedish airline and military flying personnel. 5. 5. User Preferred Trajectories in Commercial Aircraft Operation: Design and Implementation

    Författare :Hanyo Vera Anders; Arthur Rizzi; Tobias Andersson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; aeronautics; air traffic management; aircraft operation; flygteknik; flygledning; Engineering mechanics; Teknisk mekanik;

    Sammanfattning : This report describes how an aircraft creates and flies its User Preferred Trajectory from take-off to landing, based on the objectives and constraints the aircraft is subjected to from a technological and operational viewpoint. A basic description of commercial aircraft operation is given, with an emphasis on identifying the different stakeholders (Air Navigation Service Providers, Airline Operation Center, Pilot/Aircraft, Airport and Civil Aviation Authority).
