Some of die motor disturbances in Parkinson's disease, a neurodegenerative disorder where one of the hallmarks is degeneration of dopamine (DA) neurons and concomitant depletion of DA in striatum, can be alleviated by intrastriatal grafting of embryonic DA tissue.
